Covenant Life Church has been part of this community since 1981—more than four decades of following Jesus together in Gwinnett County, Georgia. For years we met in rented spaces, a small community committed to the same things we're committed to today: knowing God, making disciples, and loving our neighbors. Under the faithful leadership of Pastor John Duke—who shepherded this church for 27 years—we purchased land, built our current facility, and grew into the community we are today.
We believe God is shaping Covenant Life into something He's always had in mind—not just a church that gathers on Sundays, but a launching place. A community where people are formed in Christ and sent out to bless their neighborhoods, their city, and the world. That vision is already taking shape in partnerships like Boy With A Ball and Gwinnett Global School, both of which were born out of this community. We don't know everything God has next. But we know Who has led us this far—and we trust Him with what's ahead.
We are a spiritual family—a community of people who love Jesus and are learning, together, what it means to actually live like Him. None of us have arrived. But we're all moving in the same direction: away from ourselves, toward Christ, and out into the world He loves.
We're a pretty wide mix—different ages, backgrounds, stages of life, and cultures—but we share one journey: following Jesus and helping each other do the same. That's what holds us together.

Most churches have programs for growth. We're more interested in relationships.
We believe the deepest change in a person's life happens through real connection—with God and with people who know you by name. So everything we do is built around that: walking with people, not just pointing them somewhere.
If you're looking for a place to belong and grow—not just attend—we'd love to meet you.
We hold to the historic Christian faith—what followers of Jesus have believed and passed down across two thousand years. The Apostles' Creed says it better than we could:
"I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen."
We believe God is a covenant-making and covenant-keeping God. The Hebrew word chesed—often translated "loving kindness"—describes the highest level of relational devotion that can exist. In Christ, God has made a new covenant: He will forgive sin and restore fellowship with those whose hearts are turned toward Him. So we are compelled to walk in an ever-deepening, devoted relationship with Him and with one another, while continually extending our hands to those who do not yet know Him.
We believe Jesus' primary message is His Kingdom. Not a distant or future reality—but Heaven's rule taking shape here and now, in our lives, our relationships, and our communities. We are committed to helping one another hear His voice and follow Him into that Kingdom coming.
We believe God has given us the gift of the Holy Spirit through whom we are born again into a new way of life—lived moment by moment in dependence on His direction, conviction, and power. The miraculous life we see in the Gospels and in Acts is fully available to us today. We are committed to helping one another grow into that life and going out in the power of the Spirit to invite others to do the same.
We believe God alone is the authority in all things. To the degree we submit to Him, we can exercise His authority to bless, to intercede, and to wage spiritual warfare on behalf of others. God raises up leaders not to rule over people but to serve them—guiding others into spiritual growth and His purposes.
We believe Jesus has called us to be His disciples and to work together making disciples—within our local community and across the world. As disciples, we are committed to being lifelong learners, following Jesus in response to His Word, His voice, and His ways into the Kingdom life He has for us.
We believe God has given this church a calling that spans generations. From the newest baby to our oldest members, we are committed to helping every person who walks through our doors meet Jesus, follow Him, and love Him wholeheartedly. Some of our deepest friendships here cross generational lines—and we wouldn't have it any other way.
We believe God is a sending God: as the Father sent the Son, and the Father and Son sent the Holy Spirit, so the Spirit sends the Church into the world with the good news of the Kingdom. We are all in—His mission being the central axis of our lives as we love one another, love our neighbors, and love our city. We are committed to looking for God's activity in our community as the place to begin our missional engagement—as individuals, as families, and together as a spiritual family—believing He will raise up Spirit-led leaders to carry His love and power into the world, one relationship at a time.
