A Spiritual family

That is where Jesus comes in. He is God with skin on, who walked among us and showed us what God is like. One of the first followers of Jesus, a young man named John, confirmed this when he wrote that Jesus “became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, generous inside and out, true from start to finish.” (Jn 1:14, The Message). God who seemed just too far away, bridged the gap between us and Him, became a man so that we could become His children. His mission towards us broke down all the barriers and now it’s possible to pursue Him, because He first pursued us. We are a community of people pursuing the “now approachable” God in heaven, by following Jesus here on earth. We are far from perfect, but we’re giving ourselves to all that Jesus said and did and learning to live life on His terms, committed to His ways.
